Vincenzo and Graziella Scotto, otherwise known as dad and mom, hailed from Naples Italy (Napoli) in the 1970’s. First settling in Bensonhurst New York. They moved south to Baltimore Maryland in the early 1980’s. Upon arriving, Vincenzo opened Marco’s Italian Restaurant on Holabird Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland. Marco’s became a neighborhood favorite and remained so during its roughly twelve years in business. Vincenzo closed the restaurant in the mid to late 1990’s to return to his homeland of Napoli with his young family: himself, his wife Graziella and their three boys (Antonio, Marcello, and Fabrizio). The Scottos wanted their boys to get the experience of their native country. The family remained in Italy until early 1999. In 1999, upon their return to the Baltimore area, Vinny’s Italian Café was brought to life, located just down the street from where Marco’s had stood.

Vinny’s Cafe is a family owned and operated authentic Napoli Italian Restaurant thriving today. Dad, Mom, their three boys, and an uncle all work side by side in turning out one amazing dish after another. As Marco’s quickly had become a neighborhood favorite, Vinny’s has also. The Scottos are truly part of the Dundalk community, not renting but purchased the property where Vinny’s Café stands.

The Scotto family are tight knit and share the collective goal of bringing their old school family values to the clientele of Vinny’s Café. Each dish is made from scratch using Scotto family recipes from the old country. As if the homemade pastas, pizzas, soups, and salad dressings, were not enough of a draw, their large portions and warm personalities are even more reason to be a frequent patron! The dessert menu items are brought in from a small town bakery in New Jersey every few days.
